NO!!!!!

MB is about 2 yrs behind technology curve.
Integrated Intel Graphics will not be good for IL-2 let alone SoW.

What is your budget? Do you already have a system, from which components could be reused?

tight budget, no other system other than a laptop... ilooked at the pic of the mobo and i think i can just place a new graphics card in slot

While you can put in a new GPU, the MB is going to limit what chip you can put into it.
It's like taking a pinto and putting a Porsche motor into it. Sure it's fast, but it still can't corner for squat.

Maybe a friend has an old system he would be willing to give you as a "donor system". That way you have a start and don't have to buy everything new. Or look at second hand. It's like buying a second hand car: You're not getting the newest, but you get a lot of BANG for your buck.

no friends have any computers to donate... does the computer i have shown be able to play the game at 60fps on a high settings?

No it will not, I'm afraid.

I wonder who achieves 60fps as an average here, so you can judge the system requirements to reach that.

What screen size and resolution would you like to have? Since you don't have a system yet, it's an important component and the window to your virtual world(s).

When running Vsync on (Using TrackIr) I get about 62fps on avg.
With Vsync off I get about 204 fps on avg.
System is running OpenGL in Perfect Mode, HSFX 4.1, Effects High, Perfect Map Textures, NavMap, NoMapFrame, HudConfigPAL v.2, Mavin Hit Effects 2.1.

My specs are as follows:

AMD Phenom Quad Core 9850 @ 2.2ghz/core.
ASUS Crosshair MB
16gb DDR2 Ram + 16gb Ram on after market expansion card (Using 16gb as RamDrive for Swapfile)
Nvidia GTX 295 x 2 in SLI for video (1680 x 1050).
1tb HD x 2 (2tb total) for storage.
Nvidia 10/100/1000 Lan (built into the MB) x 2.
RealTek 7.1 Audio (built into the MB).

I don't get it... Why do they keep putting such powerful-looking cases on PCs like that and showing a cool CFS image on the screen?
Then they add a game into the bundle as a freebie, when the comp is not powerful enough to run it...

Marketing.
They want to appeal to the gamers that don't know any better.
That's why guys come here and ask. So they can be a bit more educated in their decisions and not get ripped off.

RadPig,

It is very very good that you ask for advice.

NO!!! ( Smile ) The system of the link which you gave will not cut it. My 2007 laptop outperforms that system.

The CPU only gets up to 1.8 Ghz and a bunch of other shortfalls in the system. You'll need at least approximately 2.8 Ghz CPU or higher for IL-2. If you want to run Storm of War and other great sims, then you should try to get a CPU with Ghz well into the 3+ range if you can afford it. A CPU for SoW will beg for at least a Quad (4 cores) CPU.

Look for DirectX 11 compatible GPUs. I consider 4GB of RAM to be the minimum, though more is better. For Storm of War, get at least a GTX 460 or HD Radeon 5000 series card.

Radpig,

I understand you're trying to save money, but it sounds like you're just trying to justify buying this rig to yourself.
We've explained the pitfalls of purchasing this system, but if you're bound and determined to try and make a silk purse out of a sows ear, then so be it.

Good luck.
