A few thoughts. AI is reactive, right?
We see the problem (assuming we can ever change the files anyway) that if you upped the react to targets distance from 3000m to 4000m, all the planes would also see each other farther away (even less bouncing possible). So little changes in AI can have far reaching effects.
Another example is that by upping the min alt, oleg fubared the AI because they'll break off if you go low. Little change to prevent AI crashing produces huge problem in AI combat.
I'd also love to change the default formations for planes. A-20s and B-25s should attack LINE ABREAST, not line astern.
