Are you kidding, Magpie? If I open the canopy, all the cigar smoke will be sucked out! 
Actually, are you kidding, Magpie? The F4U-1A canopy doesn't open...or at least mine doesn't. I don't think it ever did, did it? I just tried the 1D which when I fly the F4U, that's the one I use. That canopy doesn't open either.
