Is there any chance the IID being constructed could become a Mark IV (IIE) instead. This would have the 1620hp Merlin 27 (low altitude optimised) engine, the volks filters as well as armament options due to the "universal wing" which defined the variant. It entered service in 1943 and comes armed with two .303" Brownings in the wing, but a pair of Vickers S-guns or bombs, drop tanks or 60lb rocekts could be fitted in the field. It was also the first RAF fighter to use 60lb rockets.
So visually it's the same as the IID but adds armament options, better performance and provides a bit of variety in selecting a Hurricane. Or maybe both the IID and the Mark IV could be made, like the way the Me-410 was easy to make in several variants with a simple change of FM and weapons options.
In any case, take your time Mr Jolly and Co. This is great news.
