In my squad, a member makes 'modpacks' for us,which have all the major mods we want,and update packs as and when new mods arrive.We just right click > extract to > and thats it.I am sure other squads are doing this as well.That way everyone in the squad has the same mods installed,and no compatability issues.
But everyone likes different mods,so this approach would probably not work for everyone.
