Taurus, disregard my panel.tga texture request, the overhang of the hood is more than I thought.
Thanks for your efforts on the floor.tga. Since the bulkhead area of the tga is so small, I think I will proceed with the hooding idea. After studying your archival shots and other references I'm satisfied that the hood is a valid part.
Below is a P47-22 for MSFS2004 that has the hood placement that I am trying for.

Regarding sliding canopies. There were so many really basic problems with this pit, that I don't think we ever considered "extras" like sliding canopies. It is probably possible to add this feature, but it would require a modification of one of the Java shell files most likely. I've worked with these a little but I'm no expert. :?
