I have sent a remodeled version of the pit to Taurus. Give him a bit of a grace period to look it over and decide what needs to be done. That said I don't think it will be long now. 
In the mean time I will continue to tinker with a few loose ends.
Below is a F4U Radio switch box we could use although the one from the P51 is not bad.
I did the best I could with the gunsight port. I took the liberty of applying some trim.
Overall the pit looks something like this:
As far as the throttle handle goes, accounting for the findings of ShadowGravy. I think it best that we start with the ball handle and progress thru square and round handles as we release the later Models.
