There is a mod which changes the "black finger of death' into something nicer....

and there is one which gives better and longer lasting smoke from damaged vehicles...

the one which gives a secondary explosion and smoke to stationary a/c I made by editing the Technics.ini

here at my download site is a copy of all my .ini's ...in the mods folder....but the static.ini doesn't include the new soldiers and hangers by Lal_Rone

if you only need the Technics ini then put it in the STD folder in MODS...alongside the static ini you are using

The chiefs ini has extra vehicle and tank columns ....
