anyone can use his own ranks, the files are just open text files everyone can write into so what exactly should a mod do here?
you mean a common sense so all you one set of new ranks? i d not think this will draw people in.
I am with you that esp. for German and japanese the original set needs correction but the Japanese just would need fewer ranks or less promotion.
on the other hand, the promotion system... (as well as with the awards)
a static campaign can span 3 years in 30 missins or need 200.... how can any automatic promotion system adapt to that?
sometimes it fits, sometimes it's off. mostly when you have to start a campaign as group leader you have to start high in rank anyway.
