Perhaps the fixed LI-2 flight model could be used to replace the bugged C47 model?

It's easy to do that, but technically that would be cheating. Only new slot planes get a new or other FM, since only the players with the C-47 FM-mod would have the better FM.
I know, with this plane it wouldn't matter too much, but it would be cheating anyway and nobody wants that here. :?
