doubt that in war time there were animals running around

Well, I know the Russian peasants had many cows, goats and the such...

And I know the French farmers, even though they were occupied by the Germans, still carried on and had cows, goats and the such...


And I am pretty sure horses are animals:







and correct me if I am wrong, but are those german officers on.. what is that??
