I have used both and the X-52 is much better. I use every button for something and this outnumbers the Logitech 3D. The Logitech has a limited life span before the buttons start to stick. The X-52 will eventually get less smooth, and application of oil or grease may be needed to make the movement smooth again. But then again, I'm not sure if that's advised.
On the X-52, I use the wheels for trim adjustments. It is the best.
