Sorry I don't have time right now to really think about this one. But I'll see if i can help, Just a suggestion off the top of my head - if you switch the machine on Without the graphics card plugged in do you get the same beep? that constant tone means on my motherboard at least that the graphics card isn't plugged in properly. Failing that in the mobo manual it should have a description of the different POST failure beeps and their meaning.

Thanks pirate, and merry Xmas to you as well. I haven't tried the start without Graphics in , will try that and see. Couldn't find those error beep codes, will look again, but the manuals that come with hardware today are atrocious, they were much better last time I built, now they give 2 or 3 pages, But in 33 languages, and it's suffered for it. Gigabytes mobo manual was good.
