I was thinking of buying trackIR but I am not entirely sure if it is worth the money. Firstly, does it cause any reduction in game performance because my pc is not exactly top of the line. Has 6DOF been perfected for IL2, if not it wouldn't be worth it. To those of you that own trackIR, was it worth it, could you fly just as well without it and does it really enhance the game. If you are handy with your hands and tools you might want to investigate freetrack, You can build a system for less than 50 bucks for 2DOF and a shade more for 6DOF. With regards to your machine, whenever I am gaming I make it a practice of going to the services part in control panel and basically shutting everything down while I am playing with the sim. If all the services are set on automatic startup they will all return with a simple reboot. If you shut them down you might see a slight increase in fps. Hope this helps!
