STD folder contain air.ini file ( list of all planes ) .... among other stuff
AC INSTALLER contain buttons file ( data for all planes)
if air.ini and buttons file don't match = CTD at 60%-70%
bubble top spit mkIXe isn't introducing new plane to the game so it doesn't require "STD" nor buttons file .
Spitfire MkI is a new plane so air.ini and buttons file must get updated , hence STD folder.
I assume you aren't using AAA UI's ( cos Spit is included there ) so this is what you need to do :
1 when installing Spitfire mod ( or any other new plane) make sure to allow installer to alter your air.ini ( dos prompt window pops up during installation and you need to press "1" to allow alteration )
* or alter your air.ini manually...
2 make sure that you have latest AC INSTALLER ( buttons file) ....during installation dos menu pops up so select proper sound mod/ mod activator version .
.... if this sounds too complicated than please do consider installing AAA UI v 1.1 ( latest AAA mega mod pack )
regards
