I guess the heading kind of sums up my question. I dont like the mouse for my gunners but dont know if its posible to change this.

Yes go to the controls section and scroll down to gunner controls. The default is mouse left... I use my profiling software and I have the weapon 1 command set to a keystroke.. but I also went to gunner controls and just pulled my trigger... so I have joystick 1 on gunner controls... as well as the programmed keystroke.
