I once raised temps to something like 46 on a desert map (not inconceivable after all) and my engine kept on overheating, no matter what I did, even when reved down to 50% throttle ... took me a while to figure it out too ... ha ha. Never tried minus temps though. Sounds fun.
Another thing I've noticed is the curvature of the earth, which begins to be noticeable at altitudes as low as 3000m. Now I've not had much experience flying, but I did see that in a commercial plane, even at 11 000m, there is virtually not curvature of the earth's horizon visible.
Is there a way to correct this in Il-2? It's one of the reasons why I never like to fly high, as it appears to be a bit too odd.
