Nice idea although I don't know how it could be done aside from 'lighting fires inside things' like the image below.

That was just a bit of photoshop, but I was trying for the feeling of 'getting home.'
Carrier lights would be very cool- in fact I notice them on this British carrier

Notice the row of red lights down the side. Not sure at this moment if they are aft side too, but night navy aviation would certainly be transformed on some level
Perhaps the lights were always there, but they just need to be turned on somehow
