It had the lowest attrition rate of any US bomber for one thing. The challenge of flying a well FM'd kite would be a joy for me too IMHO. Little stall shudder from what I understand, which made you have to run it faster than you might other ships. As they said in Discovery Channel's WINGS episode on the B-26, (paraphrased,) this just was no buggy, this was a hot-rod .
I'm not trying to start any discussion here on the subject, I'm just happy enough someone's working toward it's completion. {BTW: thanks for the news Magpie- HUZZAH for RAF_Leigh 8) } But those are the two big attractions for me, as well as they fill a significant historical role in a number of theatres. Their use in historical scenarios would be numerous.
