Also, I dont see why it takes an Ace level wingman to give a bandit call. Theoretically if ace ai can do then all ai should be able to. I mean I dont think a pilot could get out of flight school with out being able to speak up when his wingie is under threat.

Has anyone done any work with the comms speech triggers in this game? Since the AI are all seeing perhaps they could help up out a little? A mod that gets the ai to call bandits would help a lot in single player and coop. Now if they could call bandits and bogies even better. Now in the old Janes F-18 ai wingmen could also report their relative position, that would be way cool in IL2. Here I'd settle for an order for me to Break -- "lead break or Number 3-4 break" when ai sees me under attack.



Frequently the first pilot to shout "Bandits spotted" was also the pilot with the best eyesight...coincidentally all the best combat pilots had really good eyesight (greater then 20/20 vision). Spotting the enemy first allowed one to get into the best position for attack...


p.s. You are right (as my understanding goes) that if one pilot can voice the approaching of "bandits" that all AI pilots should be able to proclaim the same information regardless of "AI" skill...
