How hard would it be to model tanks?
#13

This has always been a favorite idea of mine, before even the possibility of an AAA mod for it.

By the video, in it's crude form, it certainly would look possible. This was one of the first 'hacking' videos that ever came out IIRC..

I'd certainly like to see at least two classes of vehicles modded into the game.

The basic jeep/truck/halftrack - nothing fancy .. something suitable for bombing around with on a map, or playing a 'Get the Desert Fox' type scenario online for example. Perhaps even a fuel truck or two for someone to screw around with at the local base airport to 'refuel' landing aircraft for the sake of airport activity, or to have fun dodging the opposing team vultures with Big Grin

I'd also like to see the AA weaponry made active. Active, player controlled guns on the field, or even situated in a point of concentration where the enemy is known to pass by, on the way to attack friendly targets or bases would certainly make things interesting for the opposition and be fun to boot Smile

I don't know if there is a need for 'foot soldiers' really.. jmho.

Tanks? That might need to be taken to the next level .. basically i'd think that you'd need to 'model' a
T34 or Tiger or whatever, as an aircraft. Assign it a max speed of 25 km/h, the aerodynamic characteristics of a brick and go from there.. the 'stations' like driver, gunner etc would be switcheable like an aircraft.

I would be happy with the ability to control a stationary 88mm Flak with wonderwoman sighting view, or a truck with switcheable driver position and an Antiaircraft gun on the bed with wonderwoman sighting view, or ability to control the aforementioned fuel truck.. but that's just me.
