Hello Mate. I'll see if I cant help you with these problems.
1. with my installation of the UI1.1 I have an EAX_ON.bat and EAX_OFF.bat in the main il2 directory.
2. Here is my entries in the conf.ini for true airspeed.
[Mods]
SpeedbarUnits=6
SpeedbarSpdKMH=1
SpeedbarSpdMPH=1
SpeedbarAltMeters=1
SpeedbarAltFeet=1
HUDGauges=2
SpeedbarTAS=1
as long as you have the bomb bay doors mod this should work. When displaying IAS it won't always display the letters 'IAS' - this is because it is essentially displaying what your dials do, which is indicated air speed. there is a key assignment for 'toggle speedbar' which will switch through IAS, TAS, KMH, MPH etc.
The UI1.1 is fairly simple to install...
If this is a fresh installation of Il2 (patched to 4.08 ) then you just need to download the UI, put all the parts into 1 folder and run part 1 - directing the installer to your main Il2 directory, it will install all parts for you. if you already have modded your il2, all you need to do is put a - in front of your MODS and files folders in the main directory and then install the UI, this is how I did it and it works fine. The UI thread has more in-depth instructions for you.
Hope this is of some help.
