There will never an updated FM for the default G6s unless it's released by Olex Maddox himself.
Yes there were definately tropicalized G6s. They appeared in Tunisia towards the end of the campaign and fought during the Sicily and Italian campaign. I think eventually they were sold off to Finland (there are photos of them in winter colors with trop filters
