Great picture mate, nice idea. It is just my opinion, and I know people will disagree... but I find that the later the model the less attractive the Spit gets.

To be honest I kind of agree, but don't forget that the latest model Spit in this picture is a Packard-Merlin Spit XVI Not exactly an "upgrade" if you know what I mean. The earliest and latest birds are in the center of formation.

But I agree with Tesla too The 1 and 16 look best also ^^
