Hi all, my first post here...amazing board, I can't tell you how happy I was when I found you guys.
Here's my theory (well actually someone else's but I agree with it  ): Ubisoft is having a big show in LA (at E3) for the holiday lineup (not clear if we are talking about summer or winter holiday, another source says summer lineup...). Show is June 2nd to June 4th but Ubisoft wants to make announcements on the 1st.
Oleg did say the hardware requirements would be known in May, he did say that it should come out in 2009 (interview). November 2009 was listed in many game selling sites, and then poof, they all switch to June 1st (except one I found), I also saw the 4th and 9th of June. One site had "EU: November 2006, North America: June 2009". Slow boat I guess
I think Ubisoft asked Oleg to shut up about the whole thing hock: to make it a big splash for the big show hock: , and to move the date forward to June, perhaps by dropping a few things that would then be in an upgrade (like Eagle Dynamics did for DCS:Black Shark). Or they said November not to take any chances, and always targeted June ?
In any case Newegg and Amazon ARE taking pre-orders and they agree on June 1st. (Did they take pre-orders 2 years ago ?)
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel !

PS: If the theory is correct  , SOW:BoB should be very impressive graphically for Ubisoft to decide to do that... hock:
