Lucky? So far it's been a lot of hard work. The PC has had a replacement hard drive and I came close to losing a lot of important data, but thankfully that was avoided, leaving me with something of a jigsaw to get evrything linked up again. I've lost two USB ports - the PCI slots aren't reliable anymore. I spent yesterday walking back and forth from my local (and very patient) PC supply shop with parts scavenged from older computers. Finally found a configuration that runs ok. IL2 in its basic form is running perfectly all right, but something is causing a crash in the modded version. Well I'll keep at it - there is a war on you know....
