Don't rush it DM. A 3D model is fine, but the most important is the FM. Of course with a new 3 model, we're going to need a Damage Model as well, so take your time until that's complete.
As for the cockpit, though the plane s going to need one eventually, the P-47 or Corsair cockpit shouldn't look out of place on the Skyraider
