I take it this will require a clean install patched to 4.08, then the new patch on top of that. Then the Unified installer mod pack. Hope all of this works out ok.

This is another good reason to have installed the UI. All you need to do is remove your MODS folder and you already have a clean install 0f 4.08. Then you apply the new 4.09 patch. Then you put the MODS folder back and all should be well.
