Guys! Have I not said several times in this thread alone to drop the 4.09 vs mods debate?
This is getting petty, I'd ask you to stop arguing that 4.09 isn't big enough / disappointing / took too long....! It's quite rude and we don't need to hear it. Keep it to yourself. It is a free patch, not a mod. Take it, or stick to modded 4.09mb1 (or use SAS's mod activator till aaa makes a patch). Now, of course there are issues between patches and mods, but look at any other game and it's the same.. The amount of times a CoH patch knackered the mod I was helping make... Please, do stop all the complaining about the patch. People who are defending it, I admire and appreciate the sentiments but please do not enter into arguments as it makes things worse by inviting other people to try to justify their position.
Now, I'm locking this thread as I have asked several times and been disregarded. You can discuss installation issues or what it brings or how to make it work with mods, nae problem. But please stop all this poo-pooing the patch as it is really quite rude, and uncalled for considering it's an official patch that was taken up by an individual modding team, took a lot effort and was released for free for the benefit of the community. They're making more too. I'd rather they didn't think that if the community's response was like this then it clearly wasn't worth it, and so stop.
Gents, I'd ask you to please not take these arguments to other threads either.
