Neither 4.08, nor the 4.09 patch are modded. They simply do not recognize any Mods you might add. What you have is an unmodded 4.09m game.
At the very least, to get it to see and use the 6DOF mod, you will have to swap the il2fb.exe for the modded version, and add the wrapper.dll.
