Actually, it should be spot on since the XVIe was a IXe with a bubble canopy and an American built engine...

bubble canopy would reduce drag....by a small amount, I think there could be a 3-4 mph difference but no point in making a new FM for that little...it was proven that polishing the aircraft could get you 3-4 mph....cleaning up leading edges was 6 mph, streamlined rear view mear was 2-3 mph and changing the shape of the exhaust collectors was 6-7 mph!!! So I think the bubble canopy could definitely make a small difference...
