please help me!!! texturing problem!!

hi every body .im doing the unwrap and painting stuffs for the toryu.and i have a big problem:
in max,to do the internal face of my fuselage wich is visible from outside,i tried to clone the polys of the fuselage that i needed(only the ones visible from outsidde),flip the cloned polys normals but it does not work .in viewport,we can see alternatively the 2 textures and in render,
we see both of them mixed!!
i did the cloning and normals fliping stuff because i though that if i just putted a doubled sided material on the existing fuselage(which could be simpler) i would have problems with making the final 1024 1024 tga file in which every texture must be (exept the props and landing gear)
or... can we do a double sided and just place the visible polys texture in the tga??
please i beg,can anybody answer me? im getting mad with this stuff....
