Hi there. A little over a year ago Shooter Casey and myself were having a conflab over skinning the Mustang .
Darren had done what I believe was the best template ever released.
I had a project in the works "The Bodney Bastards" and was looking for a way to pair down the template as Darren's mind operates at highspeed.
What we had was a template that did'nt resemble a book, it resembled a volume of work. What I thought would take several weeks took several months.
My partner Casey an I worked on three different template versions perhaps more, sending run throughs back and forth to Darren and each other until we felt we had what we were looking for. At that time Avalas Plainshine also played a big part when it came to working the shadows and light fixes.
The one thing I would suggest is that you make sure that all revits are removed from the laminar wing as the wing was clean as a whistle. When Ranwers saw the the Bodney pack that was his first comment. He was quite happy .
Lastly, the the panel lines around the front cowl were all different shades of duralluminum.Look for photos. There are lots, and you will see that from the exhaust panel down to the forward wing root there are subtle differences. Here are several grabs . Good luck on your Mustang
Cheers RDDR
