So I would like to know HERE AND NOW
Are the STOCK PLANES and WEAPONS, FM's or DM being altered in any UP version that may or may not be inherited in this UP 2.0???
thanks
P.S. also, I've read in skiesofvalor forums that monguse said this up2.0 was the last up and was to be followed by the real only mod pack a new version of hsfx, is that true?
Waffen, why don't you go at the UP site and just ASK this question? Is it so hard ? Don't think so. So hear it first hand:
The UP 2.0 has not modified any Stock-Flyable (Oleg-made) plane. The UP 2.0 has not modified any Stock weapons.
We use the vast majority of the HSFX Flight Models for the Former AI planes and many FMs from HSFX for the Player-Made planes.
The B-17 use the SAME FM in both HSFX and UP 2.0
And for your last question. HSFX is not the continuation of UI. UP will NOT be replaced by "HSFX". There will be a NEW Independed version. No HSFX, NO UP, no nothing. It will have many revised stuff, new stuff, revised FMs, etc... There will be a lot of discussion and co-operation. So there will be NO HSFX version. It could be an HSFX switch for use in SEOW campain, nothing more.
And Jolly-Jinx: No need to comment your post, doesn't worth it.

EDIT: Some history background:
The HSFX community has offered the SFS archives to all major packs. We at UP worked closely with the HSFX team in terms of debugging, suggesting and we developed the new crt=2 check and we also fixed the Netcode. If few words ZUTI fixed the Netcode and made possible to use crt=2 with modded planes with 4.09m which was impossible. The new and more secure crt=2 was aslo developed by ZUTI with suggestions and help mainly from me. Of course the whole UP team helped in debugging and stabilizing it. The UI for unknown reasons did not follow this route. The UI 1.2 published having the obsolete 4.09b as base without the use of the SFS archives. On the contrary, HSFX and UP worked in the entirely New 4.09m overcoming the stability and crt=2 problems. So after the HSFX 4.0 and UP 1.8 release it was obvious that these would become the new standard. We at UP also took over the development of the DF server because HSFX is based on SEOW campaign and uses a modified co-op server. Then you know rthe rest. UI was dropped and the last content of it (mainly new slot planes) was given to HSFX for inclusion in the SFS archives. Then the 4.1 HSFX emerged along with the UP 2.0 which also includes not only a swithcer for HSFX but also a DF server for HSFX, which didn't have until now.
That's it,
