@akdavis: Certainly will. Do you happen to know how the 8xSC50 option on the main rack worked? Was it a combination of two ETC50 racks, the ones used on 109?

Yes, the ER4 adapter could take either 4xETC 50 racks (for 50kg bombs, e.g. SC50) or 4xRost 24 SD2 (for a total of 96 SD2s). Two ER4s could be mounted under the fuselage of the Bf110 for a total of 8 SC50s or 192 SD2s. Also, the 4 wing ETC 50 racks could be exchanged for 4 Rost 24 SD2, giving a potential total of 12 SC50s (8 fuselage, 4 wings) or 288 SD2 bomblets (192 fuselage, 96 wings).






It is my understanding that the Rost 24 SD2 dispensers were used on Bf109s and Bf110s during the opening stages of the Russian campaign (presumably before the AB series of aimable clusters were operational), particularly for attacks on airfields.
