i think eventually it'll be bloody amazing when people have machines to run it on high settings, and the they've more aircraft, and of course the engine will allow them to branch into a broader period. I reckon it could become the ultimate combat flight sim, it could combine ww2 and ww1 and korea and vietnam and later rather well.

But it'd take many years and many dedicated people to let its content overtake IL2. I should think they'll live in tandem for quite a while, but it does stand to reason that eventually IL2 will retire to a life of tweed jackets and armchairs by the fire with a good whisky and a pipe to read the Times, whilst storm of war will continue the running of the estate so to speak. It's just that IL2 seems to be unwilling to retire for quite some time.
