Simple Skinning Question

Pooch Wrote:The reply is greatly appreciated. So, if I undestand correctly, I would need the template from these new Mustangs to do this. I really like the metal finish on these planes, and would prefer them over another one.

The nice thing about templates is that even if they contains no metal surface finish, you can always add that if you wish. Instead of coloring the skin in a 'normal' color, you can use a metal layer...

There are also metal skin templates, with various kinds of metal layers simulating basic metal, rusted metal, scratched metal etc. that can be imported into existing aircraft templates ...

The best way to start is to download some templates, open them up in a graphics editor and see how they're put together ... then do some altering around and soon you should get the hang of it ...

Here is a url for the Mission4Today template downloads ... this one site has 3 Mustang/P-51 templates. One even specifically with metal finish.
