Not photoshop? If not, then that is really odd. I can't see why it'd be designed that way, as it doesn't seem to have any purpose whatsoever.

No photoshop. Two more photos exist at least: one in the air with no background, this one is not very convincing; one more on the ground
I think, view from the rear, to show the turret; a color profile is available on a respectable "Russian" data-base for all profiles; one modelist who
made/makes a model in front of you in a video about this plane.
Actually the turret was a muck-up during the actual test flight. Strangely, report along with the profile states that this plane flew very well.
And the description above comes from the last lines entry on the Lysander from Wyckapedia, the list of all Lysander modesl made.
