Oh, OK, sorry. I didn't realize HSFX had a Mods folder there. Well, in any case, ignore that Mods folder...I'm not sure what might be in it. With respect to your question then, you need to create a new MODS folder in the root game folder. I think everything else I wrote is correct.

Yes it was Bulau, many thanks for you and all who have helped, I followed the advice 8) , and was rewarded with being able to fly the wonderful Ki-44-II-Ko Shoki/Tojo

I also correctly installed the Kyushu Repaint & its Update by Redko to a created MAPMODS etc within MODS after having copied the map.ini from Files subforlder group.

The only question now is... what next, to much too choose from...
