Holy CRAP! hock: Even when simplified and put into a nice little list there, the whole darn process is so long! Every one of those sites has its own set of options and links that lead to more links thay open up even more links.

To check on my progress, I downloaded 4.08m, 4.09m and uTorrent. Do I so far have a good base on which to proceed with installment of any of the mentioned modpacks?

If you have the DVD version of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and clean (not corrupt files) of the patches, then yes indeed: You can proceed with a 4.09m compatible mod pack of your choice.

KEEP SEPARATE COPIES OF THE INDIVIDUAL PATCHES IN CASE SOMETHING GOES AMISS!
