We use photoshop, windows paint XP version, but when
it comes to finding the proper format that pleases IL2, or any place else,
we go into Irfan View to convert the picture, change size, adjust color depht, et/c, and do the final save as:

Once you know the final result that you want, it is easier to get it done in there...
