Harry von Bülow-Bothkamp reported in 1914 - 17 years old - out of the school as a volunteer for the Royal Saxon Hussars 18th On 22 May 1916 he was promoted to lieutenant in the reserve. On 9 July he became a pilot aptitude test ordered to the Army Airfield in third After positive identification of his fitness, he was born on 9 August ordered to pilot training for replacement department 10. On 19 December, he was transferred to the Army Air Park 3 and on Christmas Eve, he was commanding the Feldfliegerabteilung 53, 31 December he was transferred there.
On 23 May 1917 Harry von Bulow was commanded to training for school I Jasta. On 6 July was the transfer to Jasta 36, his brother Walter was their leader. On 2 January 1918 he followed his brother then to Jasta Boelcke - but his brother was killed four days later, on 06 January. Between March and August 1918, he again served in Jasta 36, from 4 June as a leader this season. After the death of Conrad von Bülow Both Kamps Harry was born on 9 September 1918 withdrawn by order of the Emperor from the front.
