This is a good idea, even though the Cant was a bit larger than the IL-4 (wing span = 24.8 m instead of 21.4). Also the Cant pilots were seated in tandem (not side by side).

Also a single-fin version of the Cant existed (just in case there are problems with the twin-fin version.

What about adding the Fw 200 Condor's ventral gondola for that 'pregnant' look? Useful for defence and it has working bomb doors :wink:

Hello, sorry for being late, but I've had to waist time messing with photoshop...

Instead of Alcione, I think SM.79 could be easier to get.
So, I've tried to explain some possible changes to Il-4 to make it more similar to SM.79. I don't know if they're possible or less, at this moment.... :? So, this is my proposal :oops: , from my 'hack' Il-4/SM.79 skin (obviously, Il-4 slot):


1 ) Engine cowlings from DB3-M, or at least its lower air intake, different from Il-4 one.
2 ) Central propeller blades removed, if it isn't possible to had them movable.
3 ) All nose windows deleted (using DB3-M nose?).
4 ) CR.42-like rear wheel.
5 ) New tail shape (probably, it can't be applied...).
6 ) Turret deleted and its room covered.
7 ) SBD or Il-2 Field Mod-like rear gunner (very hard to get, I think... )
8 ) Aerial deleted.

If some of them could be really possible, we'll get a satisfatory Sparviero... Even elevators should be changed, and eventually wings with G4M ones...

To ranwers: thank you for all your efforts, I'm sure that we'll have other nice planes. 8)
About Alcione image, last planes built during 1943 had an overall green camo, that one shown had pre-armistice markings deleted, but Cobelligerent roundels still had to be painted.
As I've done above, I'll try to make a CZ.1007bis from G4M image soon. Thanks a lot again :!:

Overall green was used as a late-war camouflage, early and mid-war camouflage was yellow with heavy green and brown mottling (see the picture I posted before, though green and brown are not easily told apart).
