Hi folks, Just d/l'ed the B-17G cockpit and gunner post. and the read-me says put files into the 'files' folder in the 1946 main folder, yet it don't see it, all i can find is files.sfs, no folder with that name. Could someone shed some light on this for me?

You do have sound mod v09 or higher installed?

I'd try adding the "Files " folder from the zip to '46 main folder and adding the lines to "Filelist.txt" ( you do have a "filelist.txt" , yes?)

ye, got that. Just d/l'ed V92 of the sound-mod, and i've now got the files folder. I put added the lines to the filelist.txt and put the files in and the cockpit files in 3d0\cockpit and made a folder for B-17G, I saw a folder for the P-40B so i presummed thats what you do? now i have a new problem. Tested in the quick mission builder, got the B-17 in the fly-ables list but when i start up it's still like a Ai plane as in i haven't got the cockpit working

Are you sure you have all the folders in the cockpit folder , I missed one once and that happened to me. You mention making a folder, I didnt have to do that, I just dragged and dropped what was in the 3DO cockpit section to the same folder in the IL2 floder.

I put the files that came with download in :
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files

I inserted the text;
3do/Cockpit/B-25J/CockpitB17G.him
3do/Cockpit/B-25J-AGun/AGunnerB17G.him
3do/Cockpit/B-25J-Bombardier/BombardierB17G.him
3do/Cockpit/B-25J-TGun/TGunnerB17G.him
3do/Cockpit/B-25J-FGun/FGunnerB17G.him; In :
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Filelist.

And put the cockpit files in :
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\3DO\Cockpit\B-17G. (I created the B-17G folder)

There was already a file in 'Files\3DO\Cockpit' that was named P-40B with a .HIM file already in it.

Done the same for the Mosquito Mk.IV mod, put all the files where the read-me said and the same happens, boot it up in QMB and all I can use is externals and have no controls :?

That is where the files folder goes. (overwrite if you already made a files folder)

files.SFS, Wrapper.dll, and the new il2fb.exe (you must create a new desktop shortcut)
go into C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 (where the filelist.txt is.)
