Notepad has no facility to sort into alphabetical order or by date added....

I must have a lot of repetitious lines in there with all the updated mods

anyone know of any utilities out there which can help?

or can we open in a word processor and resave as a notepad file??

when all the mods have dropped to a trickle maybe a cleaned-up filelist will be available

not to worry, my file list has many, infact loads, of duplicate file names, i dotn think it matters, you can add new lines and add duplicate lines and will still work fine, mine is 33.kbs and is peanuts

I use Editpadlite for most of my text editing, somewhat like notepad on steroids , it's got a really powerful search function among other stuff and its FREE, or you can buy the pro version which has even more functions... editpadlite here http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html

Another tool I find usefull for checking text is winmerge, very powerful tool and also FREE here http://winmerge.org/
