We should change .mat files in plane directory (Gloss1D0o.mat, Gloss1D0p.mat, Gloss1D0q.mat).
I have no enough time, but I'm trying to do it later (Firsty is B-25 solid-nose project). But i'm think there are a lot of people who interesting in P-40N.

Also we can correct 'V' of wings and replace propeller and gears (more authentic).

Am I reading your correctly...you have figured out how to correct the dihedral on the P-40, without leaving gaps in the 3D model?

Fisrt part of my message is about "N"'s canopy version (we can make it using "Alpha-channel"). Second is about dihedral of the wings, gears, etc. It's only ideas, but i'm wink it's possible.

If a new version of an existing plane is going to be made then we should have a Spitfire Mk I.

if u can fix the canopy via the alpha channel then you could make a b-25 strafer by making the glass nose solid and skinable, no?

You might be able to skin over the glass nose, but what are you going to do about the guns??

Might as well just be for looks on the J strafer. It's not like the game deals with gunnery on ground targets well at all, and the AI is utterly incapable anyway since it won't make treetop/mast height attacks.

Take a look at the cockpit.

Canopy is squared off in the back. I believe this was the most numerous version produced.

Also, take a look inside the cockpit. See the angled slope behind the pilot. I do believe that there was a performance improvement with the N models as well, so this would be just a cosmetic change.

To make B-25C or J with solid nose is possible for me, but it will be conmetic changes only

P-40N is supposed to be quite a bit lighter as well. Some models have had a pair of .50's removed to save weight. There wasn't much of anything from Japan that could resist the .50 anyways. Did you notice you can easily disable the Japanese tanks with just .50's in the game? It gives the SBD just a little more use...
