or
-Classic canopy with tall tail.

Arrow And also late war features for Me109-G10 and G14 such as:

FANATIC MODDER Wrote:HunInTheSun, why you don't talk with MrJolly to put these mods (or at least some of them) in place of the various aces G6s & G10 slots?

Why not,that would be a good idea;
But it would be necessary to rename the plane of these aces,as it seems Fabian's G10 wasn't like the G10 i propose with my mods (Erla or Late War)

It would add a veritable mess in the plane list,i fear...

Plane list is very easy to re-arrange and aircraft are re-named just as simply via the planes.ru text file. I'm working right now on a tutorial which has given way to a small beta mod that I hope to post later today

Good looking mod you've put together there by the way, I'm looking forward to giving it a go

Hi, Look really nice. Do I need new skins to fit the large tail or how does that work?

Is it possible to cobble together standalones of these variations?

Thanks.

Hi,

For the skins, yes that'll work naturally! Smile

Making a standalone file for all my mods would be a good idea i admitt.
But as i discover new things everyday,i would be obliged to update this standalone everyday too! Confusedhock:

I think i'll just edit the first post of this thread to help everybody to see and find my mods! Wink

By the way, here are my latest realizations:

EDIT from May 13th, 2008

The "WingHolesSolved" mod is dead, long live to the:

Arrow Me109 All-Holes-Solved with Me109-F4 Mistel

This mod provides:

Arrow A new plane to carry the Ju88Mistel along with the Fw190A8MSTL: the Me109-F4

Arrow And some goodies about LateWar stuff for Me109-G6-Late and G6/AS

These are all fantastic mods - any chance of working in mirrors to the F-4 and G-6 variants? I have posted in the relevant thread for mirrors on the 109 with evidence, but it seems to be going nowhere.

thanks for the 109 mods mate.

Any chance the links at the opening thread could be altered to go directly to file downloads, rather than back and forth through the threads? Otherwise it can get...tedious (that's the word I substituted for ones that needed censoring).

Also, if possible could file sizes for individual downloads be kept as small as possible? Fair enough if these are the minimum size they can be, nothing anyone can do but if individual mods can be broken up into the smallest file size possible for download, it makes life much easier for those of us stuck with 56k modem speed three weeks out of every four (the inconsiderate bastards around here download movies like crazy at the start of every month, use up the 10gig network limit and leave us all with crawling internet speeds for the rest of the time).

Great work though.

Hunin the engine covers don't seem to work on my 109E using Jolly's mirror mod and Freddys cockpit with the mouse 6dof .All the other 109s are fine, just the Emil seems not to work.

I seem to have a few bugs...

G-10 mod for K-4 refinements, with antenna mast removal.
I also installed the same for G-14.
Antenna mast removal for K-4 of course.
And wing holes fix plus F-4 Mistel.

I have Freddy's cockpits (and installed that version of the mods)

I had previously installed the earlier wing holes removed mod by mistake and forgot to backup the files folder. I hoped the new mod would overwrite those files and provide a fix with Freddy's cockpits. Could this be the problem?

Not looking forward to yet another full reinstall of il2

Thats the new 'lite' 109 mod. d'uh.

Wikipeida" Wrote:The cut down Bf-109-Q, featured no canopy, and cut down side panels. This was due to the increasing shortage of production materials during the dying days of the riech. Ironically, this 'lite' 109 possesd excelent handling, but when inverted, the pilot tended to fall out.

Big Grin LMAO cheers Mags, I needed the good laff. I've reconciled by the fact this complete reinstall is going to be a big cleanup, redo all my skins files and the whole shebang.

Got a question about the revised download mod order and install, I posted in the "mod install process for beginners" thread by Istvan (life saver that feller is). Any ideas?

I mean this 409_mod_bm1.exe has 4 hours to go on the download (grrr  ). So a heads up if I'm wasting my time and monthly download limit is kinda useful.

Okay, so following the step by step mod installation in vpmedia's thread, I'm going to rename the files folder from the soundmod and pop it into the mods folder.

So...when installing the Bf-109 mods of Hun in the Sun, do I rename the "files" folders and pop them into the mods folder? What should I rename them as? Do they need to overwrite some files in the old files folder, which is now the Soundmods folder inside the mods directory? So do I put these mods into the soundmods folder?

Is there any special order you have to copy/paste adjustments to the fileslist.txt or in other words can I just copypaste wherever I want in the fileslist or does it have to be in alphabetical order or something?

Is there any chance one of the staff might make each of these 109 mods an exe for trouble free installation?

Being there's two different file formats that have been used by AAA for mods (files directory and mods directory) this has made manual mod installation extremely confusing and it seems to me conflicts are going to be an increasing problem unless future mods and older mod updates like this one, are updated also in the way they are installed. It might not be a problem for modders but if you're trying to pick up modding (where a lot of stuff is left unsaid), it's frustrating when you get conflicts and don't know where to begin looking.
