Why Am I Getting These Textures...

...on vp_media's re-textured Normandy/load2 map? At first I thought it was a time of day issue but....

1845 hours-

I had a similar problem with finsgulf/autumn but there it seemed related to time of day. In that case things looked normal at an earlier TOD.

If it's of any help...
System Specs:
AMD 6400+ dual core
ASUS EAH4870 (ATI)
2 GB RAM

Any help will be appreciated.

It looks like it's missing a texture or something like that...

It looks more like it's not blending the tiles properly.

Can you post your load.ini file?

When I edited the map I'm working on (See Atlantis Northern Islands WIP) It always happens when I'm editing the file and then try to run the game. To fix, I just exit the game and relaunch it and no more "Blue Fungus" and weird texture problems. Why that happens I dunno.

Your ThunderJug is missing it's cowl flaps as well, you've got issues...

Boy am I confused. :?

What do you suggest Z? Copy the load.ini file you posted and paste it into the one I have? There seem to be all kind of differences.
I'll rename the current load.ini file I have and try your .ini file and see if that helps.

I must say I am pleased with all the help here and the lack of the need for a firesuit. Big Grin

What do I need to do here? I installed vp_media's latest version of his map pack. In fact he directed me to it so I'm pretty sure I got it right.

what kind of compression so you have selected in the il2 setup? play a bit with those see if it will fix it.

It turns out that I had a lot of thing unchecked in the Setup.exe like "Clip Hint, S3TC etc. Plus I went for anisotropic mipmap instead of trilinear and checked "Texture Anisotropic Compression".
See I got this ATI 4870 and must have read somewhere that it would do a lot more than my X1950pro and I could leave stuff unticked, so I went with it. :oops: Most maps were OK but a few (like this one) weren't. By using Covino's Setup Guide I was able to fix it thanks to your suggestion.

Cool.

You need that anisotropic compression selected in game if you want your video card to use anisotropic filters.
