Maybe I wasn't clear enough.I should have stated that I was using the "Old AI" mod and was simply trying to convey my experience with it, as some people think it might be working for them and I have my doubts myself.I certainly was sincerely being complimentary.Let this be an end to it.

fly_zo, thanks for that, and no problems at all. Maybe it was my English that was at fault and it's my first language! I really do consider you and your modder colleagues as geniuses; it's a huge task for me to even install these mods nevermind create one.

Kowi76,

Out of curiosity I hashed the files that you had put together in your mod. I put them in the mods folder and tried to fly a couple of missions. The game loaded OK, the missions loaded OK, but the game locked as soon as the enemy closed to dot range. On the bright side this means that the files are being read using this method. Maybe more files are needed (or less), or maybe it can't be done. I don't know.

If I could help in some manner about making this to work.. unfortunately I'm not an expert about java Cry but I'm at your disposal for every test about making this mod working. May be calling any guy "ex-1C" here?

is there a way to install only certain ai aspects and keep others

one thing i liked in the real old demo version is the planes don't auto bail when i catch their engines on fire. also fightin planes was a bit easier there. the ai there was better in my opinion. also, is there some way to make defensive guns move faster, they spend more time traversin onto enemy then actually shottin, i really need some ai fixes in this game

I think this mod does work.

I have found that the AI are now more aggressive and will turn back to fight if you bounce them as they are attempting to egress the combat area.

Turn and dive away a lot more rather than roll, roll, etc and then resuming their original course.

Thanks for this.

Will give this Mod a try tonight. Tired of AI always rolling to get away. Will report later. Wink

Hi Poncho, any news about this? Bo-nilde, no, sadly it's still only a placebo effect till now.. still we have to find a correct file structure, I've tested intensly this mod from the release date -8 months- and it is not working .I hope still someone with good -1946 core knowledge will help about that Idea

How do you know its not working?

IMO opinion it is. No longer do AI begin to loop and roll when I am on their six(which they did everytime prior to running this mod)...no longer do they immediately begin evasive maneuvers when in my gunsight(which they did everytime prior to running this mod)...I can now definitely tell the difference between rookies and Ace...

Now I did rename the folder in which the mod is stored to 304_AI...in hopes my pc reads that mod folder prior to any other.

Placebo...maybe, but I like what I see and makes offlining funner for me. Wink
