_ru.properties
#1

I've discovered a disturbing situation.
When I open an old mission in the FMB with the mod enabled I lose my .properties file text.

Other than manually renaming every missions .properties file, (I literally have hundreds), is there a better shortcut?
I can't seem to copy the "MissionXXX.properties" text into Notepad where I could easily use the 'Replace' function to turn copies of those files into the 'ru' files I need.

Secondary questions:
#1- Will the _ru.properties text show up when switching between versions or does the unmodded game use the plain .properties file?
#2- If I have a "Mission123.properties" file and a "Mission123_ru.properties" file in the same folder will that cause any problems?

Thanx in advance.

the Modded exe is a russian one, so it is sensitve for the _ru files, in each cathegory, not only with properties. in absence of _ru.properties the game will read the .properties without a country specific addition like _fr, _de ....
some campaigns come with a variety of languages, _ru for russian, _fr for french, _de for german. in an unmodded game you get the one according to the installtion language selected.

when switching to a unmodded exe the original selected language applies, meaning the _ru.properties will be ignored when an according country addition is at place.

so yes, switching may result in the reading of diffrent properties files.

properties is a simple text file. you can open it with any text editor, also with notepad.

when opening an old mission in he modded FMB a new _ru.properies is made...bu the original .mis and .properties remain

so just copy & paste all the text from the .properties into the _ru.properties and keep all three files in use
